Dirsekbuku

Dirsekbükü is a bay on the Bozburun Peninsula southwest of Marmaris, lying on the sailing route between the Gulf of Hisarönü and the open Aegean. Surrounded by pine-covered hills, it is considered one of the most sheltered anchorages on the peninsula, staying calm even when nearby bays are exposed to wind, which is why it appears regularly on Blue Cruise itineraries between Marmaris and Bodrum.

The bay has no village and no road access, so everything arrives by water: a single restaurant with a jetty and laid moorings can take in around 20 boats, and small boats from nearby settlements circle the anchorage selling bread, ice cream and other supplies to moored yachts. Clear water supports a healthy population of fish and the occasional sea turtle, making it a favourite spot for swimming and snorkelling between sailing legs, and the bay is roughly 25 nautical kilometres by sea from the Marmaris marina, an easy half-day sail.

Because of this shelter and the facilities on shore, many gulet cruises from Marmaris call in here to break a longer passage along the Bozburun coast, usually for a swim stop or an overnight anchorage.
