D Maris Bay
D-Maris Bay is a five-star resort on the Datça Peninsula, in the Hisarönü area of the Marmaris district, roughly 30 kilometres from Marmaris town and about 130 kilometres from Dalaman International Airport. Built around a sheltered cove where pine-covered hills meet the sea, the property has its own private piers, so visiting yachts and gulets can dock directly rather than anchoring offshore and tendering guests in. The wider area sits inside a designated conservation zone, which is part of why development along this stretch of the peninsula has remained so limited.
Guests arriving by boat can use the resort's restaurants, spa and five private beaches spread along this stretch of the peninsula, along with provisioning and refuelling support for yachts moored nearby. Watersports and diving trips are organised locally, taking advantage of the clear, sheltered water inside the bay, and the surrounding pine forest gives the whole cove a notably cooler microclimate in high summer.
Because of its private-pier setup, D-Maris Bay is best reached during a Marmaris gulet cruise, usually added as a stop for lunch or an afternoon rather than a full-day anchorage.
