Ciftlik Bay

Çiftlik Bay lies around 30 kilometres south of Marmaris, tucked below the village of Bayır on the road toward Söğüt, with the Gulf of Hisarönü running along one side of the route and pine forest along the other. The bay itself is coarse-grained rather than sandy, and its water is clear enough that individual stones are visible on the seabed at a depth of around ten metres.

There is little in the way of built-up development here — a small number of seasonal restaurants serve the boats and cars that make the trip, and the appeal is almost entirely the setting itself: pine-backed slopes running down to a quiet, sheltered cove that stays notably calm compared with more exposed bays further along the gulf. The approach road itself, cutting between the Hisarönü shoreline and dense pine forest, is often described as part of the experience rather than simply a way to get there.

For yachts working the Hisarönü side of the region, Çiftlik Bay is a classic stop on a Marmaris blue cruise itinerary, usually paired with a swim stop rather than an overnight stay.
