Ayin Bay

Ayın Koyu lies on the Datça Peninsula, among the string of quiet bays that open onto the Gulf of Gökova rather than the Marmaris side of the coast. A pebble beach and notably clear water make it a popular stop for swimming and diving, and a small dock allows boats to come alongside rather than anchor off.

Access on land runs through a private facility at the entrance that tends to open reliably only on summer weekends, so arriving by boat avoids the bottleneck entirely. A handful of seasonal restaurants sit just behind the beach, serving the same visitors who come for diving lessons in the sheltered water, and the pine-backed hills around the cove keep it noticeably cooler than the open coastline nearby.

Some regional guides use the bay's old nickname loosely, but it should not be confused with the separate anchorage known as İngiliz Limanı, further along the same gulf.
