Seyrek Cakil Bay

Seyrek Çakıl Bay lies on the D400 coastal highway between Kaş and Kalkan, about fifteen kilometres from Kaş, and is often described as a quieter sibling to the better-known Kaputaş Beach a short drive further along the same road. Pine-covered slopes run down to a narrow strip of pale gravel, giving the cove its name — çakıl means gravel — and the water shelves quickly into the same bright turquoise that defines this stretch of coast.

The bay is managed by Kaş Municipality, which keeps a small shower block, changing cabins and sunbed rental on site, though the sea can turn choppy when southerly winds blow, since the cove has little natural shelter; calm weather from May to October is the best window, with water temperatures ranging from around 19°C to 28°C. Pine trees close to the shore also make it a popular, informal camping spot for those wanting to fall asleep to the sound of the sea.

Seen from the water, the bay is a classic stop on a Kas blue cruise itinerary, giving boats a swim break between the busier anchorages closer to Kaş and Kalkan.
