Inonu Bay

İnönü Bay lies a few nautical miles west of Kaş, on the approach to the Kekova sailing grounds, and takes its name from the narrow slot in the cliffs at its entrance, which locals compare to the mouth of a cave. The bay is a long, slender cove hemmed in by rocky shores and silvery olive groves, and since there is no road access, it is reached by boat in roughly 50 minutes from Kaş harbour.

What draws most visitors is the exceptional clarity of the water, often described as an underwater aquarium: divers and snorkellers can see straight down onto a seabed of rock and sand alive with fish. The bay's narrow shape gives good shelter from wind chop, though sailors should still watch conditions when the wind swings to the south or southeast. Because of this natural protection, İnönü Bay is best reached during a Kas gulet cruise, when a full day's itinerary can pair a swim stop here with time around the Kekova coastline.

The bay remains undeveloped, with no permanent buildings on shore, which is part of its appeal for anyone looking for a quiet anchorage away from the busier beaches closer to town.
