Incebogaz Beach

At the point where the Çukurbağ Peninsula meets the mainland, barely 1.5 kilometres from the centre of Kaş, İnceboğaz Beach takes its name from the Turkish words for "thin" and "strait" — a fitting description for a shoreline pinched between two very different bodies of water. On one side, the beach opens onto the Mediterranean proper, exposed to wind and swell; on the other, it curves into the sheltered cove that holds the Setur Kaş Marina, where the water stays calmer and noticeably warmer.

The beach itself splits into two sections — one run by the municipality with sunbeds, umbrellas and a small café, the other left free and unmanaged — and both are backed by the same rocky, pine-covered slopes that define much of the peninsula. It sits in the Andifli district, reachable on foot, by bicycle, or by a short taxi ride from the town centre, and its shallow, sheltered stretch nearest the marina makes it a popular choice for families.

For sailors, the marina side in particular functions as a natural extension of the harbour itself, and İnceboğaz is one of the anchorages you'll visit on a private gulet charter from Kas, close enough to town to combine a swim with an evening back among Kaş's restaurants and bars.
