Hayitbuku

Hayıtbükü is a small bay in the Mesudiye neighbourhood of Datça, on the southern side of the Datça Peninsula in Muğla province, roughly twenty minutes by road from the town centre. Together with nearby Palamutbükü and Ovabükü, it is traditionally counted as one of the peninsula's "Three Beauties", a trio of coves along the same stretch of coast, though Hayıtbükü has stayed noticeably smaller and quieter than its better-known neighbour Palamutbükü.

The bay's bowl-like shape, closed in by hills on three sides, shelters it from most winds and keeps the sea calm for much of the year, while a mix of sand and pebble runs along the shoreline. The water is shallow close to the beach and warms quickly in summer, which has made the bay popular with families as much as with visiting boats. A line of small seaside restaurants and tea gardens backs the beach, most offering sunbeds to customers rather than charging separately for them, in keeping with the low-key character of the wider Datça coast.
