Perdika Bay

Perdika is a fishing village on the southwestern coast of Aegina, a Saronic Gulf island about 27 kilometres from Athens, and lies roughly 9 to 10 kilometres from Aegina Town, the island's main port. During the Ottoman period, Albanian settlers established themselves here and were gradually assimilated into the local Greek population; today Perdika is one of five communities in the municipality of Aegina, with a population of 847 recorded in the 2021 census.

The village keeps the look of a traditional fishing settlement, with a working harbour and marina that can host visiting boats and yachts alongside local fishing craft. Along the waterfront, fish tavernas, cafés and ouzo bars line a row of terraces overlooking the small bay and, beyond it, the islet of Moni, about three nautical miles offshore. Short boat trips run from the harbour to Moni, a protected, largely uninhabited islet known for its clear water and unspoiled coastline.

Perdika has no sandy beach directly in the village itself, but Sarpa and Kleidi beaches lie about two kilometres away, with Marathonas Beach a similarly short distance to the north — all reachable by road, boat, or a longer walk. As a classic stop on a Greece blue cruise itinerary, Perdika combines an easy, protected anchorage with some of the best seafood tavernas in the Saronic Gulf.
