Lambi Beach

Lambi Beach sits on the northern edge of Kos Town, only about 3 kilometres from the harbour, making it one of the easiest beaches on the island to reach on foot, by bike, or by local bus. The shoreline is a long stretch of coarse sand and pebbles, with a shallow, gently sloping seabed that keeps the water calm for swimmers of all ages, and the sea itself stays comfortably warm through the summer months, with recorded temperatures reaching the high twenties in July and August.

Rows of sunbeds and umbrellas, shaded by trees along the shore, sit alongside cafes and beach bars, while the Nautical Club of Kos, based right on the beach, runs swimming and sailing lessons throughout the season. Its closeness to the town centre means Lambi draws a steady flow of visitors from morning until sunset, particularly families looking for a gentle entry into the water.

Its position just outside Kos Town's harbour also makes Lambi a classic stop on a Kos blue cruise itinerary, an easy first or last anchorage for boats coming in and out of port.
