Rogac

Rogač is not a Split neighbourhood or suburb — it is the main ferry port of the island of Šolta, on Šolta's north-east coast, roughly across the channel from Split itself.

Jadrolinija's car ferry (line 636) links Split and Rogač in about an hour, while a faster passenger catamaran covers the same route in roughly 30 minutes, with up to six or seven sailings a day in high season. A separate line connects Rogač to Milna on Brač in around 25 minutes. On arrival, local buses meet the boats and run to Šolta's other settlements — Grohote, the island's largest village, plus Stomorska, Nečujam and Maslinica.

Rogač itself is little more than a sheltered bay lined with a handful of waterfront cafés and restaurants next to the ferry terminal, but its role as Šolta's gateway makes it a popular stop for gulet charter guests exploring Split and the islands just offshore.
