Slanica Bay

Slanica is a sandy beach on the island of Murter, a short walk from the centre of Murter town and connected to the mainland by the drawbridge at Tisno rather than a ferry. Stretching for roughly 200 metres, its sandy, gently sloping seabed is unusual for this stretch of coast — the water stays shallow for up to 50 metres from the shore, which is why it doubles as one of the area's most popular family beaches.

In summer the sea warms to around 24–26°C, and the beach fills with sunbeds, pedal boats, kayaks, a small aqua park, and waterside bars and restaurants. July and August are the busiest months; late spring and September offer the same warm water with far fewer visitors.

Thanks to its shallow, sheltered water, Slanica is one of the anchorages you'll visit on a private gulet charter from Sibenik, giving guests a rare chance to swim onto sand rather than the pebble beaches more typical of this part of the coast.
