Levrnaka Island

Levrnaka is one of the larger uninhabited islands inside Kornati National Park, lying southwest of the main island of Kornat. A scatter of simple summer houses sits above its harbor, Luka Levrnaka, which is sheltered from wind on most sides and used as an overnight mooring by boats touring the archipelago.

The island's main draw is Lojena, a beach of fine white pebbles and sand on its shore — one of the only stretches in the entire Kornati archipelago that is not bare rock. The water is shallow and clear, making it a popular swimming and snorkeling stop. Just offshore lies a sunken World War II-era wreck, one of several scattered around the Kornati islands that divers explore.

Since the mid-1990s, the Ježina family from Murter has run Konoba Levrnaka, a stone-built restaurant on the island serving fresh seafood and Kornati lamb; it is one of the few places to eat on an otherwise uninhabited island, and many charter guests anchor here for the afternoon before continuing through the park.
